Mettis Aerospace Limited is committed to adopting a responsible attitude towards protection of the environment and prevention of environmental pollution. The Company shall ensure, as far as is reasonably practicable, that all operations are conducted in accordance with best available practice to minimise adverse effects on the environment by:

• compliance with the relevant provisions of both national and local legislation and with industry codes of best environmental practice;
• maintaining a healthy working environment by operating plant, machinery and processes in accordance with this policy;
• establishing objectives for the progressive reduction or elimination of undesirable emissions to the environment;
• giving full consideration to and forward planning for environmental consequences in the development of new processes and operations;
• evaluating all activities to conserve resources by efficient use of energy, minimise waste and to recycle where economically feasible;
• implementing on-going programmes of auditing, inspection and monitoring of the site;
• setting and regularly reviewing targets and objectives to achieve a programme of continual improvement of environmental performance;
• maintaining effective standards of training, instruction and communication in matters of environmental responsibility to all levels of employment or to all interested parties. This policy is available on the Company web-site and internal notice boards;
• Compliance with the relevant provisions of both national and local legislation and with industry codes of best environmental practice;

In pursuit of this policy directors, managers and supervisors are encouraged to regard environmental matters as being of at least equal importance to that of their other management responsibilities and the co-operation of employees in preserving the environment is encouraged by effective joint consultation, discussion and involvement.
