 Mettis Aerospace has won another multi-million pound contract as its business continues to capitalise on the booming aircraft industry.

The Midlands company has secured a lucrative deal with Spirit Aero Systems Europe to supply high precision components for the A320 family.
This means that Mettis, based in Redditch, can add the new contract to recent successes with Rolls-Royce, Airbus France and Teleflex Aerospace.
They will supply Spirit Aero Systems with engine pylon brackets, manufactured from a titanium alloy. Titanium alloys are advantageous in highly loaded areas such as wing sections, flap tracks and engine pylons where performance and weight are critical.
A unique combination of properties such as high strength-to-weight ratio and corrosion resistance mean that titanium alloys can typically represent five to 10 per cent of an aircraft's weight.
Mettis has many years of experience in titanium alloys and is recognised globally for its excellence in this field.
The 150-seat short to medium range A320 is the best-selling member of the Airbus family and is currently enjoying record production levels.
The A320 is renowned as the first airliner to introduce a fly-by-wire flight control system and has further developed with features such as advanced electronic flight decks and energy efficient winglets.
Mettis Aerospace Sales Director Karl Bishop said: "Our ability to demonstrate our capability to consolidate the supply chain with a one-stop-shop solution was key to our success on this package.
"We will forge the components, heat-treat, part-machine and test from our Redditch site. This provides us with total control over the entire manufacturing process and eliminates risk to our customer. This is an important factor in today's market place."
