CNC Machine Operator (weekday nights)
Contract: Full Time
Term: Permanent

As a CNC Machine Operator, you will play a key role within our machining division. Using your technical skills and attention to detail, you will set up, operate, and monitor 5-axis CNC milling machines to manufacture high-precision aerospace components. You will follow strict safety and quality standards and ensure all parts meet engineering specifications and customer requirements. You will support the full machining process, contributing to the production of mission-critical components for the Defence and Aerospace sectors.

As a condition of employment successful candidates are required to satisfy ITAR (International Traffic In Arms Regulations) compliance and must fulfil the following before commencing this role:
i. Currently hold the legal Right to Work in the UK
ii. Fulfil a DBS clearance
iii. Provide a consistent 5-year UK domicile
iv. Pass Drugs & Alcohol screening at the start of their Mettis employment

Scope and Responsibilities

To operate various machines in the Machining Cell (CNC Milling)

Operation of CNC milling machines (Heidenhain, Fanuc or Mazatrol controls)

Set up fixtures, tooling and programmes

Run machines as per SOPs and instructions

Quality control, & inspection of parts

Able to read and understand engineering drawings

Experience of programming is desirable

Pay: £14 - £16 per hour, plus shift allowance

Scheduled Hours: Weekday nights: Monday - Thursday
