Overview
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, improving product quality and efficiency, and supporting the successful industrialization of new products. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure our processes meet the highest aerospace standards and deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to maximize quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Drive strong process control and capability across all operations to ensure consistent, reliable outcomes.
Apply Lean Manufacturing and industrial engineering techniques including kaizen, time studies, line balancing, and value stream mapping.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives targeting quality, productivity, and waste reduction.
Support industrialization of New Product Introductions (NPI), including process development, tooling, work instructions, and validation plans.
Collaborate with design teams to ensure manufacturability and seamless transition of new designs into production.
Apply APQP and lead PPAP processes to ensure readiness for production.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues using structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, DMAIC).
Define, document, and maintain robust process controls including routings, work instructions, and SOPs.
Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards (AS9100, NADCAP) and customer-specific requirements.
Provide technical training and support to production teams.
Monitor KPIs such as yield, scrap, and throughput to drive data-based improvements.
Required Skills & Experience
Degree or HND in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
Extensive experience in aerospace or high-spec manufacturing environments.
Strong understanding of process control and capability (Cp, Cpk) and statistical tools.
Hands-on experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and structured problem-solving.
Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools.
Familiarity with aerospace quality standards (AS9100).
Excellent communication and project management skills.
