Overview

As a Standard Operating Procedure Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining clear, accurate, and compliant documentation that supports our manufacturing processes and ensures consistency across operations.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance within manufacturing operations

Collaborate with subject matter experts across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and maintenance to capture best practices and translate them into clear, actionable procedures

Ensure all SOPs comply with aerospace and Rolls-Royce standards, and align with relevant Quality Instructions (QIs) and technical drawings

Facilitate training and implementation of SOPs on the shop floor, ensuring understanding and adherence

Work to project timelines for SOP development and delivery

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to keep documentation current with evolving technologies, regulations, and operational practices

Required Skills & Experience

Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Ability to write and structure technical documents clearly and accurately

Experience and understanding of working in an Engineering environment

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards

Role type: Fixed-term contract (initially) for 6 months

Site: Windsor Road, Redditch, B97 6EF

Hours: Full time:  07:30 – 16:30 Monday – Thursday and 07:30 – 12:30 Friday
